My mission is to help Australia overcome scale and distance by connecting its pockets of deep tech brilliance to the world.
Australia has world-class people, research teams, companies and regional ecosystems, but its small population and geographic isolation mean that deep-tech success increasingly depends on trusted international pathways.
I help Australian organisations internationalise: to enter key global innovation regions, build partnerships, understand cultures and business practices, and compete with and against the highest international standards.
I also help international organisations find and engage with Australia’s best capability - the people, technologies and institutions most likely to deliver meaningful commercial and research outcomes.
The purpose is two-way value creation: Australian capability reaching the world, and the world’s best organisations finding the right Australian partners.

WHAT I BELIEVE
I believe many Australians underestimate just how good they are.
Students, researchers, founders and regional innovators can develop technologies that are genuinely new to the world. What we often lack is not capability, but exposure to the environments where that capability can be recognised, challenged and scaled.
For me, internationalisation is therefore more than market access.
It is about ensuring Australia's best people and ideas are tested and proven in the key technological regions and markets where ultimate success will be achieved for the Nation.
Success is not declared at home.
It is proven away.
HOW I WORK
For three decades, I have worked across Australia, North America, Europe - particularly Germany, Austria, Switzerland and neighbouring innovation regions - connecting Australian capability with international engineering, technology and business environments.
My journey began with a PhD-seeded Australia-Germany technology venture and has taken me through start-ups, global engineering organisations, research institutions, space programs and advanced manufacturing.
That experience has given me lived fluency - in language, business culture and decision-making processes. It removes friction, avoids costly mistakes and shortens the distance between a promising idea and a serious conversation.
